This is an example that I made to show you, how color can give you an instant effect to close up photo. Try to add a simple change in shade and tone. It's interesting to see the results, because the picture now looks brighter. My tips, also try adding highlights around the sides of face because it will help add visual volume. Last, remember don't be afraid adding purple, blue or even yellow, all those colors make a dramatic difference to the color of the skin. Try it.
