Last long weekend, my big family decided to have a new routine activity, cross country bike trip. They called themself "Goweser Team" a.k.a cyclist and all of the team members are man. My dad, my brothers & husband also participated and all of my uncles were super excited. They started the trip from my house to Puncak (route Rindu Alam - Gadok, +/- 40 km biking up & down the hills, and very heavy field for the first timer, such as big rocks and high cliff).

Well for me taking pictures about the preparation was fun (from 5.30 in the morning until 6 am), because mostly they never biked this far. I hope next trip, all the women can join for a lil picnic while waiting for their husbands.

Carita is located in Banten, around 4 hours from Jakarta. The beach is not as good as Bali or Lombok, but this got me reminiscing about my childhood memories. When I was a kid, most Jakartans family spent their summer vacation here (or Anyer), especially circa 1990 to 2000. Well maybe because it's the nearest one from Jakarta. Nowadays Carita is no longer the 'it' beach for vacation. Since Carita is part of Banten (not West Java anymore) the province doesn't provide good infrastructure and the road was terrible, it's bumpy all the way.

Well last month, I went there for 3 days and 2 nights trip along with my husband, Hanna and Arif. The private villa was awesome, and yes we got our own swimming pool, so no need to worry if somebody is trying to ruin our holiday. Anyway it was my trip during pregnancy, hope our baby likes it.

Last Sunday, me and hubby went to Bundaran HI on car-free day for the very first time. I kinda shocked when I saw lots of people were out cycling that day (it's like living inside an ants colony, thousands of people flooded the street). Well too bad I had a job to do, it was a photo session with Ms. Dhatu for Casa Elana - a clothing label by me, Mrs. Hanna and Mrs. Anne. Just a bunch of housewives trying to create a business.

Next time me and hubby will definitely try going to a car-free day, although we really need to wake up early like 5 in the morning and ready to go, zzzz, at 6 a.m. you need to be at the location, and I can't believe it Jakarta is very hot and humid in the morning.

He went snorkeling during his business trip to the city. He said that the sight down there were not as good as he expected, since Bunaken is very famous for it's under the sea view. Well I guess Gili Trawangan (here's Mrs. Fifi Alvianto's Lombok trip) is still the winner for our snorkeling sites. Hopefully one day, we can visit other places around Indonesia.
